Working Artists and the Greater Economy (W.A.G.E.)
In the ongoing urgent work of justice, there are numerous battles to fight. Labor Justice in the United States of America has a long history of battle, and the struggle continues. Progress has been made through the formation of Unions, Collective Bargaining, Grassroots Organizations and the general public standing for justice - for fair pay, for fair benefits, for appreciation. Since the early 2000s, Working Artists and the Greater Economy (W.A.G.E.) has led the fight for artist labor rights.
ARTISTS and other art industry professionals, please utilize the tools that W.A.G.E. has diligently worked to produce for us to establish fair labor practices within our industry. These tools include a Fee Request form, Fee Calculator, and Labor Divisions calculator. When we stand as a collective front and do not back down because 'they' said 'the opportunity' is the payment, we make change happen.

...oh, and here's an additional resource, the FARE Contract. A template contract that I began using in 2019 which I've had reviewed by professional practicing lawyers in law offices (just so you know that the legal jargon is correct).
